Product Overview:

Leukotriene B4 Receptor 2 is a member of the GPCR family. Its gene is located in very close proximity to another leukotriene receptor, LTB4R, both in the Human and mouse genomes. The two receptors differ in their affinity and specificity for LTB4 being LTB4R2 a low-affinity receptor for leukotrienes, that also binds other eicosanoids.

The major function of this receptor is chemotaxis of granulocytes and macrophages. The response is mediated via G-proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.
